Roma Roma Roma!!!

Oh, how I fell completely in love with Rome!  I was so focused on taking my dream trip to Greece that I had no idea what was in store for me.  I decided to spend 2 1/2 days before we left for Greece in Rome.  By pure luck, I found a quaint hotel directly across from the Colosseum.  When our driver was turning to pull into the hotel, I had absolutely no idea how impactful it would be for me... que the beginning of happy tears!  It also should be mentioned that over the course of a few days in Rome alone, I averaged well over 60,000 steps!!!

The Vatican was an entire day of wonderment, I cried. I felt it, I was in awe which seems to be my favorite word with many of these trips.  We saw soooo much and ate very well.  I will say that I may never have a pizza again in my life quite like the ones we ate.  For those who know me, Eggplant Parmigiana is a must and it did not disappoint.

I would love to tell you everything we saw and cramped into these days spent in this amazing, wonderful place... I shopped!  of course...  We ate a lot!!  We visited as much as we could squeeze into our time there:   The Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine, The Vatican City, The Pantheon, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Vittorio Emanuele II Monument, The Spanish Steps, Santa Maria Maggiore

I am my mother's daughter and refused to miss a beat.  Rome stole my heart.  I will go again!!!
