St. Thomas, Sapphire Beach

 

 

 

St, Thomas - Virgin Islands

 

I have been to this island several times and it never disappoints. Years ago, I stumbled across this beach when a cab driver told us he had a surprise... I was nervous at first but when he pulled in and I saw the multitude of colors against the water, it was indescribable!  Layers of shades of blue and view of St. John across the way plus the white sand against it will always be etched in my memory.  I remember the first time I went there, I sat in the water and literally memorized everything around me.  There were very few people on the beach, with a drink in my hand and the sun beaming down - I was in heaven.  I tell everyone to go there and experience it.  The snorkeling was beautiful as well. 

There are a few other beaches and obviously the more popular touristy ones, but I don't like huge crowds and tend to look for less people and stunning coves. There is so much to do on the island as well.  Every picture you take is stunning...  it is a must-see island!
